Chinese phone Meizu M2 Note launched


After marking its entry into the Indian market with the launch of M1 Note in India just a few weeks ago, the company has now unveiled the successor at an event in Beijing. The M2 Note comes running on the latest Lollipop alongside a MediaTek octa-core processor. The availability and the pricing of the M2 Note in India has not been announced, yet.
The Chinese price of the16GB variant is at 799 Yuan (Rs 8,300 approximately), while the 32GB model will set you back 999 Yuan (Rs 10,300 approximately). As far as the specifications are concerned, the M2 Note is slightly slimmer than the predecessor at 8.7mm and comes with a physical home button. It flaunts a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1080p resolution. It is powered by an 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. It offers 16GB and 32GB of internal storage options which can be expanded further via a microSD card.


On the photography front, the M2 Note sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It packs a 3,100mah battery and runs on Android Lollipop-based Flyme OS. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth and dual-SIM support. The M2 Note will be available in blue, white, rose and gray color options.
Just to compare, the predecessor Meizu M1 Note is priced at Rs 11,999 in India and flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and paired with Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also included is 16GB/32GB internal storage, but no external memory card slot. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,140mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat wrapped under Flyme 4.0 UI.

LG has unveiled the most advanced model of its G Pad tablet dubbed G Pad II 10.1, which is said to offer more features than other devices in the same segment.
